TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo conducted a working visit to Tuban, East Java on November 28, 2016, according to a press release received by Tempo.
During his visit, the President joined the celebration of the Tree Planting Day in Indonesia (HPMI) and the National Planting Month (BMN) 2016 in Tuban’s Tasikharjo Village. President Jokowi plants trees together with 5,500 people.
Roughly 238 trees were planted in just one hour, allowing the event to be recorded in the Guinness Book of Record.
After the tree planting event, Jokowi inspected a project financed by the Village Fund (Dana Desa) in Jenu Sub-district. The President and his entourage will return to Jakarta after having lunch in the region.
