TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian badminton mixed double pair Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto stormed into the semi final of Hongkong Open after beating host pair Lee Chun Hei Reginald/Chau Hoi Wah in a 55-minute clash on Friday (25/11).

In the first game, Praveen/Debby admitted that they were under pressure.

“We were under much pressure in the beginning and followed the pattern of their game,” Debby said.

In the semi final, Praveen/Debby will take on South Korean pair Choi Solgyu/Chae Yoo Jung.

The South Korean pair beat the Indonesian pair at the quarter final of China Open last week.

In the meantime, another Indonesian mixed double pair, who is an Olympic champion, Ahmad Tontowi/Liliyana Natsir also reached the semi final after beating Chinese pair Liu Cheng/Li Yinhui 21-13, 21-14 in just 27 minutes.

In the semi final, Tontowi/Liliyana will face host pair Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet, who defeated English pair Chris Adcock/Gabrilelle Adcock 21-19, 22-20.

Praveen/Debby and Tontowi/Liliyana can meet in the final if they can their opponents in the semi final.
