TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rida Mulyana, director general of new and renewable energy and energy conservation at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, said that the investigation into watered-down diesel fuel case has shown some results.
“This is a legal matter. In order to respect the legal process, we need to wait for the Police to announce the result,” he said at his office in Central Jakarta on Friday, November 25, 2016.
Mulyana claimed that the investigation team formed by the Ministry has acquired and handed over the data to the police.
“We also have samples taken from the joint investigation,” he added.
Mulyana revealed that Police had requested his institution to expose the samples in order to confirm the findings. He hopes that Police would soon announce the findings.
Mulyana claimed that his institution immediately responded to the report about watered-down diesel fuel on November 12, 2016.
Earlier on Friday, November 11, 2016, hundreds of vehicles broke down after filling diesel fuel at Pertamina’s gas stations in Plumpang and Depok. After being checked, the fuel was polluted with water.
Pertamina marketing director Ahmad Bambang said that the watered-down fuel was distributed to 36 gas stations, based on data obtained by Pertamina by Saturday, November 12, 2016.
