TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airport manager Angkasa Pura II is seeking an additional fund of Rp1.7 trillion to acquire lands needed to build Runway 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Angkasa Pura II corporate secretary Agus Haryadi told Tempo on Friday that the company needs Rp3.7 trillion-Rp4 trillion to buy 170 hectares of land.
Agus said that in 2015 Angkasa Pura II received a capital injection in the form of state capital participation (PMN) of Rp2 trillion. In 2016, the company proposed for another Rp2 trillion, but so far the House of Representatives has not approved it, "although we are targeting to finish all land acquisition processes by late 2016 or early 2017.
He said Angkasa Pura II is opting for two methods to cover for that fund, one is by reapplying for a Rp2-trillion PMN, and a backup option is to rely on bonds, bank, and non-bank loans.
"We are doing everything we can to make sure that the third runway project can be completed," Agus said Friday, November 11.
He said the construction of runway 3 is a priority agenda in improving the international airport's service, which is why land acquisition must be completed smoothly.
"We are targeting to finish everything by the start of next year."
