TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Youth and Sports Ministry official Gatot S Dewa Broto has published a letter stating that the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Congress with the main agenda item of electing new executive committee for 2016-2020 period will take place on November 10 at Mercure Hotel Ancol, Jakarta.
The congress had previously been planned to be held in Makassar in accordance with PSSI's decision, or in Yogyakarta as recommended by the Youth and Sports Ministry.
PSSI secretary General Azwan Karim has confirmed that Mercure Hotel Ancol will host the congress. According to him, the PSSI has sent a notice about the congress venue to both voters and invitees.
“The notice has immediately been sent to voters and other invitees. According to schedule, the congress will commence at 9 am on November 10. Congress participants will check out on November 11,” he said.
Nine candidates are in the race for PSSI chief post, namely Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, Sarman, Ady Rahmayadi, Moeldoko, Eddy Rumpoko, Tony Aprilani, Erwin Aksa, Djohar Arifin Husin and Bernhard Limbong. They will compete for the attention of 106 voters.
