TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) yesterday questioned Anang Sugiana Sudiharjo, the president director of PT Quadra Solution, one of the companies who worked on electronic identity card (e-KTP) project. Anang was questioned as witness for former Interior Ministry’s population and civil registry director Irman, who has been named suspect. More public figures may also be questioned.
The Democratic Party treasurer M. Nazaruddin had earlier revealed the connection between Anang and PT Quadra with Golkar Party politician Setya Novanto. According to him, Setya arranged the e-KTP project via Andi Septinus alias Andi Narogong. “Investigators must question Andi Septinus first and foremost,” he said.
Andi Septinus’ name came to light on April 24, 2014, two days after the KPK named Anang Sugiharto as suspect in e-KTP case. Andi has subsequently been banned from travelling abroad. Anang Sugiharto was the commitment making officer in the Rp5.9 trillion project. As of press time, Andi could not be reached for comment.
KPK deputy chief Saut Situmorang did not deny that his investigators may question M. Nazaruddin on the connection between Anang and PT Quadra with Setya Novanto. “Any statement and connection must be verified for investigators to find out the role of every individuals in the case,” he said.
Fellow KPK deputy chief Basaria Panjaitan said that the KPK investigators will question the individuals named by witness Anang Sugiharto, including Setya Novanto. “One will be summoned if needed be by investigators,” he said yesterday.
As of press time, Setya could not be reached for comment. On October 3, Setya had denied involvement in arranging the e-KTP project. “Never. I can’t remember having any involvement in the e-KTP [project],” he said.
