TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, said that the terror tactics carried out by terrorists has developed into many forms, such as sabotage, spreading propaganda, and spreading knowledge on how to make explosive devices. In fact, Wiranto said that nowadays, acts of terror are being carried out using cyber technology and other high technology methods.
"Acts of terrorism in the international, regional, or even domestic scale must be discussed more thoroughly," Wiranto said on Monday, October 24, 2016.
Wiranto explained that terrorism cannot be handled by a single agency. The Minister said that each Indonesian citizen plays an important role in fighting terrorism. "All levels of society must fight together against [terrorism]," Wiranto said.
The war against terrorism, Wiranto said, will be discussed thoroughly with the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT).
Wiranto also urged Indonesian citizens to understand the dangers of terrorism. "Not only to understand it, but it’s our shared duty to overcome [terrorism] thoroughly and continuously," Wiranto said.
