TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Jakarta Park and Cemetery Agency Djafar Muchlisin said that financial loses due to the damage of the park near the city hall reaches around Rp 60 million.
"We’ve just finished inspecting the damaged garden and it turns out that the damage is not as bad as we thought,” Djara said on Saturday (15/10).
According to Djafar, the financial loss worth around Rp 60 millions already covers the whole park and its contents.
"The damage is not really extensive. It’s only 300 meter square,” he said.
As previously reported, thousands of people from a number of Islamic mass organizations staged a protest in the city hall, causing damage to the park nearby.
