TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The body of a baby boy was found by a janitor in the toilet of Qatar Airways plane parked at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Sunday, October 9, 2016. The janitor immediately reported it to Qatar Airlines management for further investigation.

"The airline reported it to Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police," said Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Public Relation Sub-unit chief Adj. Comr. Sutrisna on Monday, October 10, 2016.

According to Sutrisna, the Airport Police's Criminal Investigation Unit has examined the case based on the report, and discovered that the dead body was allegedly disposed of by EWR, a female migrant worker who was on board the airplane.

Police later arrested EWR and took her to the airport’s medical outpost before transferring her to the National Police Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

"She has yet to be questioned," Sutrisna said.

Sutrisna said EWR will be interrogated after her health conditions improve. "She will be taken to Soekarno-Hatta Airport for questioning and to be prosecuted," Sutrisna said.
