Indonesia Wins 2 Awards at South Africa Tourism Exhibition

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia won two prestigious awards in the largest tourism exhibition and fair in South Africa, The Getaway Show Africa, which took place on 23-25 September at Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg.

Deputy Assistant of the Europe, Middle East, America, and Africa Market Development of the Tourism Ministry Nia Niscaya said Indonesia was awarded with the Best International Destination and the highest award, the Spirit of Getaway 2016 Award.

"With this award our hope is that it can open the eyes of the international public particularly in Africa and beyond about Indonesian tourism," Nia said in Jakarta, Friday, September 30, 2016.

The Getaway Show Committee also appreciates the Wonderful Indonesia team for performing optimally at the event by presenting a variety of attractions and special food treats.

"The committee appreciates Indonesia and thanks us for delicious Indonesian cuisine, dance performances and hospitality in serving the guests who came to the Wonderful Indonesia booth," she said.
