TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government has decided to keep the price of fuel and certain special types of fuel starting the first of October.
According to Acting Head of Communications, Services, Public Information and Cooperation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Parlaungan Simatupang, there are a number of considerations taken by the government.
"Based on the results of cross-sector coordination and considering various aspects, including the financial capacity of the state or the economic situation, the purchasing power of the people, as well as the real economy, the government set no changes in the selling price of certain types of fuel and," said Parlaunganon Friday (30/9).
According Parlaungan, starting October 1 at 00:00 pm, the selling price of subsidized diesel fuel will not go down, which amounting to Rp 5,150 per liter, and the price of RON 88 or premium gasoline remains the same, which is Rp 6,450 per liter.
"Meanwhile, the price of kerosene is Rp 2,500 per liter," said Parlaungan.
Previously, it was rumored the government would lower the selling price of fuel type RON 88 or premium gasoline.
Premium gasoline is rumored to be down by Rp 300 per liter to Rp 6,150 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of diesel fuel is said to rise to Rp 600 per liter to Rp 5,750 per liter from Rp 5,150 per liter.
