Tax Amnesty Declared Assets Reaches Rp 2,512.6 T

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Finance Ministry's Tax Directorate General has recorded the declared assets as totaling Rp 2,512.6 trillion in the tax amnesty program following participations of members of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

Based on the data released at the Tax DG's official website, the figure was collected from 207,691 declaration letters. Of the total amount, Rp 1,720 trillion are domestic assets, and Rp 666 trillion are foreign assets. The total amount of repatriated assets stands at Rp 128 trillion, and the amount tax retribution fee has reached Rp 54.25 trillion.

The retribution fee comprises of Rp 47.4 trillion from non-SME individual taxpayers, Rp 5 trillion from non-SME corporate taxpayers, Rp 1.8 trillion from SME individual taxpayers, and Rp 65.4 trillion from SME corporate taxpayers.

The data reveals that as many as 204,611 tax payment slips (SSP) have been submitted, with a total retribution fee based on the SSPs amounting to Rp 69.92 trillion. To this date, the Tax DG managed to pull in Rp 73.31 trillion from the tax amnesty program.

The tax amnesty program was first rolled out on July 19, 2016. The government had set a target to collect additional state revenues amounting to Rp 165 trillion in the Revised 2016 State Budget.
