TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) celebrates its 71st anniversary by launching the Rail Ticketing System (RTS) Next Generation.
The RTS is part of an online ticket booking system that has now been developed so it would allow passengers to preorder meals for their trips.
In running the system, KAI collaborates with Reska Multi Usaha (RMU) to create innovations in a bid to enhance services for train passengers, especially in providing meals and drinks.
Passengers can pre-order their meals once they booked their tickets via tiket.kereta-api.co.id, KAI Access, or preorder.reska.co.id. The service offers a number of menus passenger can choose from.
"We hope the pre-order service will help customers book their tickets and purchase their meals easier," KAI president director Edi Sukmoro when attending KAI's 71st anniversary celebration in Bandung, September 28.
