TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - It is usually not easy for the entrepreneurs working in the creative industry to get a loan from the banks. However, now the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) will provide assistance in providing a venture capital.
Bekraf Banking Access Director Restog K. Kusuma said that his office is currently preparing the platform in cost structures reporting that is required by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SME as the implementer for the People's Business Credit (KUR). “That platform has been a huge obstacle for creative economy businessmen because not every business owner has bankable financial report,” he explained to Bisnis.com.
The businesses that would want to acquire financial assistance would have to submit a request to the bank. But at the same time, the business owner would have to report the request to Bekraf. Afterward, the Bekraf would upload the data to the credit program information system (SIKP) which includes 18 ministries and state owned institutions. ”It needs to be uploaded so that the banks would be informed that the business is endorsed by Bekraf,” he added.
The bank can download the data to be analyzed and then decide whether the business is worthy of the credit or not. Restog said that the regulation would be completed soon. The requirements for a business to be worthy of a KUR assistance is that it should be established for at least six months with assets of no more than Rp3 billion.
