TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The tax amnesty program has brought in a proceeds total of Rp61.99 trillion per September 27, 2016. The Tax Directorate General recorded that the revenue came from tax retributions, tax arrears payments, as well as the termination of preliminary examination evidences.

The tax retribution has reached Rp58.62 trillion, tax arrears revenue amounted to Rp3.06 trillion, and income from the termination of preliminary examination evidence reached Rp301.54 billion.

As of today, the total assets reported through 179,944 assets report notices (SPH) have reached Rp1,950.58 trillion. The reported domestic assets are worth Rp1.336 trillion, while the value of reported assets located overseas reached Rp536 trillion.

As of today, Sept. 27, the amount of repatriation funds has reached Rp101 trillion.

The Financial Services Authority's (OJK) director of capital market supervision Nurhaida estimated that the capital market can absorb Rp400 trillion of the repatriated funds until 2017. The absorption is derived from funds invested in stocks and bonds.

It has been two months since the tax amnesty program began on July 19, 2016. The government is targeting the tax amnesty to pull-in an income of Rp165 trillion as set in the 2016 Revised State Budget.
