TEMPO.CO, Bandung - As many as 2,200 students have became the victims of the flash flood that occurred in Garut, West Java.
“There are about 2,200 children of flash flood victim that need school equipment,” said the official of Garut Education Agency, Totong on Sunday, September 25, 2016.
Totong explained that the victims were from 15 schools of primary school, middle school, and high school.
After the flood hit, he said, the school activities did not run optimally since many students had their school equipment lost in the flood.
“The children do not have any school equipment because it got carried away by the flood,” Totong added.
According to him, many of the chairs, tables, and white boards at the schools were also destroyed.
