TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Gerindra party and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) have decided that they will go on the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election with Sandiaga Uno and Yoyok Sudibyo, Batang Mayor.
Deputy Chairman of Gerindra, Fadli Zon, said that Gerindra and PKS have decided to split from the 6-party coalition and create their own axis. "We will make an official announcement," he said.
Previously, the 6-party coalition is believed to propose only 1 candidate to challenge the incumbent candidae, Basuki jahaja Purnama. But with the split, there will be 3 candidates running for next year's election - incumbent candidate, Gerindra's nomination, and the Cikeas Coalition`s nomination.
