Indonesia Eyes Three Gold Medals in Asian Beach Games V

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian contingent are aiming to secure three gold medals in the Asian Beach Games V in Danang, Vietnam, on September 24 to October 3, 2016.
“Three gold medals are expected to be won in beach volley, wood ball and beach rowing,” the Indonesian contingent chief Hellen Sarita de Lima said Wednesday in a written statement, as quoted by Antara news agency.
In the Asian Beach Games V/2016, 79 Indonesian athletes will compete in 8 different sports, namely beach waterpolo, beach volley, 3x3 basketball, pencak silat, beach woodball, beach sepak takraw, vovinam and beach rowing.
Indonesia ranked seventh with seven gold, two silver and 14 bronze in the Asian Beach Games IV Thailand 2014.
The Indonesian contingent will depart for Vietnam on September 23 and to be led personally by CDM Hellen Sarita de Lima, also the chief executive of Sport and Law of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI).
KOI chairman Eric Thohir is scheduled to join the contingent.
