IDX: Stock Investors in Domestic Capital Market Reaches 500,037

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) reported that the number of stock investors in the domestic capital market that refers to the number of Single Investor Identification (SID) until mid-September 2016 has reached 500,037 investors.

"Dissemination and capital markets education continue to be done by the IDX and it makes the number of stock investors in the Indonesian capital market by the end of this week's trading has exceeded 500,000 investors," said Head IDX Corporate Communications Yulianto Aji Sadono in a written statement on Sunday.

Based on IDX data, he added, the number of retailed investors who make transactions in the Indonesian capital market reaches 487,713 SID, while the rest is institutional investors, which is 12,324 SID.

Yulianto added that in order to increase the number of investors, the IDX will continue to facilitate the public to access information about the Indonesian capital market through the opening of IDX Investment Gallery.

"The establishment of IDX Investment Gallery aims to disseminate and provide capital market education educate capital market among academicians and the public," he said.
