PLN-Semen Indonesia Cooperate to Distributed 50 MVA Electricity

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) of Aceh chapter has signed a cooperation with PT Semen Indonesia Aceh related to the distribution of electricity 50 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) for the cement plant located in Pidie Laweung.

As for the cooperation in the electricity suppliant designated to a cement plant located in Pidie Laweung, it is targeted to operate in 2020.

The signing was held at the Office of PLN Region Aceh on Friday (16 September 2016) and was witnessed by Assistant III Aceh Regional Secretariat Aceh Syahrul Badr, Regional Business Director Amir Rosidin PLN Sumatera, Head of Energy Petambangan and Syahrul, Head of Investment and Promotion Agency of Aceh Iskandar Zulkarnain and the General Manager of PLN of Sumatra region.

General Manager Bob Saril PLN of Aceh region said that PLN Aceh is able and ready to provide electrical power needed by PT Semen Indonesia Aceh.

Besides this, he said, PLN Aceh expects that the operation of the cement plant will open new jobs and absorb the local workforce.

"PLN Aceh is ready to serve the needs of the electric power required by prospective customers in Aceh. To meet the power needs, PLN continues to seek additional supply, one of them by building several plants, for example, hydropower in early 2018," said Bob.
