TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The overseas production of PT Pertamina International Exploration and Production (PIEP) reached 120,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) or greater than the target of 104,950 boepd.
PIEP Managing Director Riadhy Slamet said that last year, the target oproduction of oil and gas in three overseas assets namely Algeria, Iraq and Malaysia amounted to 95,000 boepd, meanwhile, this year the company targets to produce amounting to 104,950 boepd by year-end.
Nevertheless, some of the activities at this year resulted in the achievement of production exceeding the target of 120,000 boepd or higher for 12% of the target.
Compared with the achievements of last year, this year's production is higher 7.2%, that is 112,100 boepd.
"In the first eight months period PIEP production reached 120,590 boepd, or about 15% above the target. The realization of this production was also recorded 7.2% higher than the realization in the same period last year amounted to 112.1 thousand boepd," he told a press conference in Jakarta, Friday (16 September 2016).
