TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A review agency named Populi Center has just released a head-to-head survey results on electability between Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) and Tri Rismaharini.
"Basuki is still ahead of Risma," said researcher, Nona Evita.
Nona said that 49.5 percent of the respondents elected Ahok, ahead of Risma, if the two contend in the 2017 gubernatorial election. Risma scored only 36 percent.
However, Ahok's voters have dropped in number, compared to the similar survey in June 2016. Ahok had scored an astonishing 59.2 percent. Risma, on the other hand, increased from 23.8 percent.
Nona added that the survey is a face-to-face interview with 400 respondents in Jakarta. The survey employed random method with margin of error of less than 4.9 percent and reliability threshold at 95 percent.
