TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A poor result at GP2 race at Spa Francorchamps circuit, Belgium, has not made Sean Gelael lose hope. The young Indonesian driver is hoping for miracles at Monza in Italy which will host the next race.
Until Round 8 at Spa Franchorchamps, Belgium, last week, Pertamina Campos Racing team had been facing a lot of problems, particularly on its cars. However, Sean Gelael and Mitch Evans said they would perform their best in Italy on September 3-4.
“Our cars have been uncompetitive. We had tire problems which resulted in poor performances. We have changed everything, but problems keep popping up. We have yet to find the right solution. I’m hoping for miracles and for the car to be [more] competitive in Monza,” Sean Gelael said Monday, August 29, 2016, in a written statement, as quoted by Antara news agency.
Pertamina Campos Racing drivers had been struggling to break into the top 10 in qualifying sessions since Round 1 in Barcelona up to Round 8 in Belgium, although Mitch Evans did win the race at Red Bull Ring Austria.
