TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Mandiri recorded a 8.1 percent growth in house ownership credit disbursement in Q2 of 2016. Bank Mandiri has disbursed a total of Rp 32.2 trillion house ownership credit, a number higher compared to the Rp 29.8 trillion recorded last year.
Bank Mandiri Retail Banking Director Tardi, said that the company will maintain a positive outlook towards its business growth in the house ownership credit sector despite strong competition.
Tardi added that the company could achieve around five percent growth in house ownership credit, which is above the average growth. "We will use this as a main driver of [the company's] growth," Tardi said at the Mandiri Plaza on Monday, August 29, 2016.
Tardi said that non-performing loan ration for house ownership financing is relatively well maintained at around two percent. "Risks in the [House ownership financing] segment is relatively manageable, it remains stable despite any changes. We are extremely confident in this segment," Tardi said.
Tardi also appreciated positive improvements made in the regulatory sector. One of the improvements, according to Tardi is the implementation of house ownership financing policy and tax amnesty program by the government. "We expect our house ownership credit distribution could grow significantly this year," Tardi said.
