TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) has recorded an exceeding sales target at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) 2016. Suzuki has managed to sell 813 vehicles or 117 percent higher than its target at the annual event.
“We thank our loyal customers who have visited Suzuki booth every day. That has resulted in various achievements in this year’s GIIAS,” PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales 4W Managing Director Davy J Tuilan said in a statement on Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
The sole agent of Suzuki cars in Indonesia targeted 700 units sales at the GIIAS 2016. “Our target is 700 units sales for all variants,” Sales Director of Suzuki Indomobil Sales Makmur said.
At the expo, Suzuki Ertiga was the most best-selling product with 57 percent sales contribution, followed by New SX4 S-Cross and Carry Pick Up with 12 percent sales, and Karimun Wagon R with 11 percent sales. Overall, Suzuki sales at the GIIAS 2016 is up by 37.2 percent from last year’s GIIAS expo.
In GIIAS 2015, Suzuki recorded a total sale of 648 vehicles with Ertiga as the biggest contributor which sold 262 units.
According to 4W PT SIS Marketing Director Donny Saputra, Suzuki came up with an urban sports theme at the event.
