TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three goals scored by Ricardo Salampessy in the 14th minute, and two goals by Boaz TE Solossa in the 42nd and 68th minutes, gave Persipura Jayapura three points against Persegres Gresik United on Saturday (August 20).
The two goals were scored in the first half by Ricardo and Boaz at the Torabika Soccer Championship, which was held in Mandala stadium in the Papua provincial capital city of Jayapura.
The goal scored by Boaz in the 42nd minute was a cross from the left side of the opponents defense, sent by Ian Louis Kabes.
Kabes freely sent a cross into the penalty box, which had been anticipated by Boaz.
Ricardo and Boaz increased the score to 3-0.
A total of 18 clubs are participating in the Torabika Soccer Championship, including Arema Cronus FC, Bali United, PS Barito Putera, Bhayangkara Surabaya United, Madura United, Mitra Kukar FC, Persegres Gresik, Persela Lamongan, Persib Bandung, Persija Jakarta, Perseru Serui, Persipura Jayapura, Persiba Balikpapan, PS TNI, PSM Makassar, Pusamania Borneo FC, Semen Padang FC and Sriwijaya FC.
The championship, which offers a cash prize of Rp3 billion, was opened by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Papua provincial citys Mandala Jayapura stadium on April 29.
