TEMPO.CO, Mecca - Head of Working Regional Office for Airport Medina Airport of the Indonesian Religious Ministry Nurul Badruttamam Sunday said that 183 of the total 384 flight grouping of Indonesian hajj pilgrims have already been in Saudi Arabia.
According to data until 08:00 am Saudi Arabian time, all of the 183 fleet consists of 73,823 pilgrims, accompanied by 915 officers.
They were dispatched in stages since August 9, 2016.
This first wave of pilgrims will be in Medina for about nine days to complete Arbain, the obligatory prayers of 40 cycles without a break in Nabawi mosque-- before moving to Mecca to await the arrival of the peak of the hajj.
Last flight groupings of the first wave that landed in Madinah International Airport on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 was group 14 of Banjarmasin embarkation by using flight SV5901.
This year, Indonesia gets a quota of 168,800 pilgrims, consisting of 155,200 regular pilgrims 13,600 special pilgrims.
