Darmin to Announce 13th Economic Policy Package on Friday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution said the 13th economic policy package will be announced Friday, August 5, 2016. “The announcement will be made either tomorrow or next week,” Darmin said at Bank Indonesia office building, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 3, 2016.

Darmin said the announcement would be made if the he could met with the President to discuss the latest policy package.

Darmin said that the package might contain two issues. “The first relates to e-commerce roadmap,” he said. Whereas the second one relates to housing deregulation.

The government has issued 12 economic policy package, comprising of 203 regulations.

The ministry is focusing on the state budget (APBN) and development of mid-term food policy. The government has underlined the need of sustainable food policy, aside from maintaining food price stability.
