TEMPO.CO, Kupang - Indonesian President Joko Widodo conferred the Satya Lencana Pembangunan medal of honors to 15 regional leaders at the 23rd National Family Day in East Nusa Tenggara Governor on Saturday (30/7).
The honors were given to the regional head for their services to the state and the society in the country's development in general and the development of the regions in particular.
To the recipients of honors and awards, the President told them to continue improving services to the country in order to make the programs on population and family development a success.
"Do improve your dedication, passion and achievement in the success of the program on population, family planning, and family development," said Jokowi.
Regional leaders who received the honors were Governor of Maluku, Regent of Bandung West Java Province, Regent of Musiwaras in South Sumatra Province, Regent of Maros in South Sulawesi, Regent of Bantaeng in South Sulawesi, Regent of Batang in Central Java province, Regent of Semarang in Central Java Province, Wakatobi Regent of Southeast Sulawesi province, Regent of Central Aceh in the Province of Aceh, Regent Dompu in West Nusa Tenggara province, Mayor of Tomohon in North Sulawesi province, Mayor of Ternate in North Maluku province, Mayor of Serang in Banten province, Mayor of Magelang, in Central Java, and Mayor of Bima in West Nusa Tenggara Province.
