TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Authorities are set to return the bodies of two Nigerian death row convicts, Seck Osmane and Michael Titus, to their respective country. The two convicts were executed alongside Indonesian drug lord Freddy Budiman.
Seck Osmane is a South African, who was arrested for dealing drugs in 2004. Osmane's execution came under limelight as he has just filed an appeal to President Joko Widodo on July 27.
Meanwhile, Michael Titus, a nigerian arrested in 2003, has also filed an appeal, on June 21.
One day before the execution, Michael Titus's family, Nila, said that she questioned Indonesian stance to continue with the execution, as Titus' appeal is still underway.
“The appeal (was still) in progress. We are trying to reach President Joko Widodo,” she said.
