TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Market research institute TrendForce released the latest data on smartphone market share for Q2 of 2016. The data revealed that Huawei has managed to dominate the Chinese phone market in Q2 of 2016.
Chinese-based firm Huawei is recorded to control 20.8 percent of the Chinese mobile phone market, while Oppo comes in second place with 12.7 percent.
Following in third place, Vivo phone producer managed to control 10.6 percent market share. Lenovo and Xiaomi also made it to the top-five with a 10.3 percent and 10 percent market share, respectively.
China was recorded to produce a total of 139 million units of smartphones throughout Q2 2016. The number is up by 13.8 percent compared to Q1, according to TrendForce analyst Avril Wu on Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
