TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama assessed that the self-management system applied for Bantar Gebang Integrated Disposal Site will save more budget.

“We can save 60-70 percent,” he said, Thursday (7/21).

Not only Bantar Gebang, other activities have applied the system earlier such as the land and river waste transports.

“The river was used by private side,” he added.

Self-management system for Bantar Gebang will cause delay in transporting the waste. The Jakarta Provincial Government will learn from past experience to ease the handling.

The delay is caused by transition such as equipment recall from PT Godang Tua Jaya (GTJ) and PT Navigat Organic Energy Indonesia (NOEI). In fact, some of Jakarta Dept. of Cleanliness heavy equipments have been operated.

“Our equipments have been operated there, but we must wait the previous equipment to be recalled,” he closed.
