TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The parents whose children have been the victims of fake vaccines given by a number of hospitals have met with the House of Representatives (DPR) leaders to complain about their plight as they were dissatisfied with the response from certain hospitals.
Some of them are the parents of the victims of fake vaccines given in Harapan Bunda and Mutiara Bunda Hospitals. They were received by the House speaker Ade Komarudin, the House deputy speakers Fahri Hamzah and Agus Hermanto as well as the House’s Commission IX chairman Dede Yusuf.
“We as the patients’ parents urge the hospitals to disclose the medical records of patients who had been vaccinated from 2003 to 2016,” one of the parents of fake vaccine victims in Harapan Bunda Hospital August Siregar told the DPR leaders. He then handed over their demands against the hospital to the House speaker Ade Komaruddin in his office, Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
According to him, the patients’ parents had asked Harapan Bunda Hospital to provide free medical check-up for patients to ease their concerns after the government announced the distribution of fake vaccines.
“We ask DPR leaders to help address and convey the demands of the patients’ parents, so it can soon be realized by Harapan Bunda Hospital,” he said.
The patients’ parents have formed a crisis center to make the list of fake vaccine victims. Some 400 patients have been registered in the list.
