Vice President Appreciates Tinombala Task Force Performance

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Vice President Jusuf Kalla has expressed his appreciation for the performance of Tinombala Task Force in the joint operations between the National Police and the National Armed Forces to crack down on Santoso-led radical armed group in Poso, Central Sulawesi.
“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to police and the military who have been launching massive operations for months. Therefore, I appreciate them,” said Vice President Kalla on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, as quoted by Antara news agency.
In relation to the death of Santoso, the group’s leader, the Vice President said that government is still awaiting investigation and identification by relevant parties.
“If it has succeeded, it would mean that we have solved the problem in Poso. We are still waiting for DNA test,” he said.
Tinombala task force is a special team formed to pursue Santoso-led terrorist group in Poso jungle. The team consists of the military and police totalling over 3,000 personnel.
