TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy to the Coordianting Minister for the Economy for International Economic Cooperation Affairs Rizal Affandi Lukman said that the Indonesian government would announced the schedule of the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU CEPA) negotiation next week.
"We’ll announce it by next week,” Rizal said in Jakarta on Friday (15/7).
However, Rizal declined to reveal the exact time.
He said the announcement would be simultaneously carried out in Indonesia and Brussels.
According to Rizal, the formal meeting of the IEU-CEPA will be done after the summer break in Brussels.
"It's still summer break there," he said, adding that the IEIUCEPA agreement is predicted to be completed two years ahead.
Related to Brexit, if IEU-CEPA agreement is completed and the UK is official out of the EU, Rizal said Indonesia needs to make new agreements with the United Kingdom.
