TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution held a meeting to discuss the privatization of state-owned enterprises at the Coordinating Economic Minstry’s office in Jakarta on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.
Attending the meeting were State-Owned Minister Rini Soemarno, Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Industri Minister Saleh Husin, and Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro.
SOE Minister Rini Soemarno said that four SOEs would offer their stocks to public.
“The four SOEs are PT PP, Krakatau Steel Wijaya Karya and Jasa Marga,” Rini said after the meeting, adding that the government had set the date for the rights issues.
Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said that the rights issues for the SOEs would not be conducted simultaneously.
“The Finance Minister asked [for the rights issues] to be conducted separately so that they can be completed soon,” he revealed.
The total value for the rights issues would reach Rp14.3 trillion (US$1.1 billion). The government would participate in the ownership by providing state injection capitals (PMN) upon House of Representatives’ approval.
