TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Member of the Defense Commission of the House of Representatives of the Prosperous Justice Party, Sukamta, said that all sides should refrain themselves regarding the alleged cause of the Army helicopter crash in Yogyakarta on Friday (8/7).
Sukamta also urged the government to investigate and announce the exact cause of the helicopter crash.
"So there will be no misinformation,” He said on Sunday.
Sukamta added that the exact cause of the helicopter crash has not been known yet, as it could be caused by the main weaponry system (alutsista) or or human error.
If it turns out that the cause of the crash is related to the alustista, he urges the government to regularly evaluate it.
"Those that are no longer proper should not be used anymore," he said, adding that the House continues to try to increase the budget for defense equipment.
If the crash is due to human error, Sukamta said that human resources must also be improved. The people should wait for the official statement from the government, he added.
