TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Information and Data Center of the Agriculture Ministry Suwandi said that the prices of most of basic commodities have dropped.
"We hope that inflation in July will drop compared to that in June because in the beginning of July, prices of basic commodities have begun to drop,” he said on Friday (8/7).
He added that data from the Agriculture Ministry shows that at the national level, the price of beef is now at Rp 116,150 per kilogram, price of chicken is at Rp 32,530 per kilogram, red chili at Rp 33,360 per kilogram, and red onion at Rp 38,100 per kilogram.
In the meantime, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution on Thursday (7/7) estimated that inflation rate in July would not be as fast that in June because in the last week of the fasting month, prices of basic commodities dropped and were lower than prices in the first weeks of the fasting month.
