Palyja to Stop Water supply in Some Areas of Jakarta on July 8-10

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja), drinking water and water service company in western Jakarta, has informed that clean water supply will be temporarily stopped starting from Friday, July 8, at 1 a.m. until Sunday, July 10, as the company will be conducting a technical work at Water Treatment Installation (IPA) Pejompongan 1.
It will take a full three-day work and will be done during the holiday, when less people stay in Jakarta, Palyja Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility Division Head Meyritha Maryanie said Friday, July 1, 2015.
Meyritha explained that water supplies will be decreased in areas including Bendungan Hilir, Kartini, Karang Anyar, Maphar, Taman Sari, Pluit, Tangki, Mangga Besar, Mangga Dua Selatan, Kebon Kelapa, Pasar Baru, Petamburan, Tomang, Cideng, Kebon Melati, Petojo Utara, Duri Pulo, Kali Anyar, South Duri, North Duri, Tanah Sereal, Krukut, Keagungan, Glodok, Krendang, Jembatan Besi, Angke, Tambora, Senayan, Selong, Petogogan, West Rawa, Melawai, Gunung, Kramat Pela, Manggarai, South Manggarai, Bukit Duri, Menteng Dalam, West Tebat, East Tebet, Kebon Baru, Pancoran, and Cikoko.
As well as in Ancol, Pinangsia, Tambora, Roa Malaka, Pekojan, Penjaringan, Pejagalan, Pluit, Perniagaan, Jembatan Lima, West Pademangan, South Petojo, Kebon Sirih, Gambir, Cikini, Menteng, North Kota Bambu, South Kota Bambu, and Kampung Bali.
Palyja’s water supply will return its normal service gradually starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 11. Meyritha said she advised all customers to fill their reservoir tanks and conserve water to anticipate obstruction in water supply. Palyja will also be providing water through tank trucks for free in case for emergency, such as in hospitals and other locations. “We apologize for the inconvenience,” she said.
