TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission [KPK] has once again arrested a clerk of Central Jakarta District Court with the initial of S in a sting operation yesterday. An evidence of Sin$30,000 were seized in yesterday’s arrest. The arrest was allegedly made in relation to a civil case.
The KPK chief Agus Rahardjo has confirmed that a team of his agency has arrested a clerk. Agus, however, has yet to disclose the suspect’s identity and the evidence in the arrest. “All will be revealed in the press conference tomorrow [today],” he said yesterday.
Aside from S, the KPK has arrested two others whose identities are still unkown. The three of them had been taken to the KPK building, Jalan HR. Rasuna Said, for questioning. Today, the KPK will decide if they will be named as suspects or be released.
The KPK investigators have sealed off the clerk’s office. Central Jakarta District Court spokesman Jamaluddin Samosir has confirmed the sealing off and its connection with the KPK sting operation.
Jamaluddin, however, admitted he did not know which case was being handled by S. “They [investigators] entered his office, but I don’t know which case since he handles many cases,” he said.
