Tempo/Rezki Alvionitasari.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Sutiyoso said the findings of fake vaccines cases are considered not massive enough to be handled by the agency.

"So far, the case has not become our concern yet. If it’s massive and nationwide, it will be our concern, "Sutiyoso said in Bandung on Friday (24/6).

Sutiyoso added that the handling of the case of fake vaccines is within the authority of the police.

"That's not our authority to handle the case. I'm sure the police will handle it well, "he said.

Earlier, Health Minister Nila Farid Moeloek said that the government will not tolerate the recent circulation of fake vaccines.

"It is dangerous to the health," she said at the Ministry of Health on Friday (24/6).

She added that there are five types of fake vaccines circulating, namely Tubercullin, Pediacel, Tripacel, Harfix, and Biosef.

The cases were found in Jakarta , Banten and West Java.

"We have ordered our officials to investigate the cases," she added.

Until now, Health Ministry has not received reports from the affected communities of the fake vaccine.
