TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Ichsan Soelistio, member of House of Representatives’ Commission III overseeing legal affairs, said that the allegation of cash flows from developers of reclamation project to Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama’s circle has been unfolded.
Ichsan, a lawmaker from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), said that the investigation into the case has been started as Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders signed the investigation order.
“Let them [KPK] do their job,” Ichsan said at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Friday, June 24, 2016.
Ichsan argued that the investigation into the case must be watched to prevent it from being forgotten. He called on KPK investigators to put their best effort to expose the case.
"Whether it’s fast or slow [investigation], it’s up to the KPK. Just leave it to the professional,” Ichsan added.
He suggested that KPK’s investigation into the case reflected that the allegation related to the cash flow was not baseless.
Earlier, during a meeting between House Commission III and the KPK, PDIP’s politician Junimart Girsang revealed a cash flow to Ahok’s circle.
“We received information that there was a fund of Rp30 billion channeled to Teman Ahok (Friends of Ahok) via Sunny and Cyrus,” Junimart said.
