ICW: Jakarta Need Not Return State Loss over Sumber Waras Case

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinator of Investigation Division of the Indonesia Corruption Watch, Febri Hendri, said that Jakarta City Administration does not need to return the state loss of Rp191.3 billion, as suggested by the Supreme Audit Agency in the Sumber Waras Graft audit.
"The city administration does not need to return the state loss, because the audit was not thorough," said Febri.
Febri explained that the audit die not refer to the Tax Object Value and Property Value. "We need to consider that," he said.
He added that the state loss return can be a bit difficult, as Sumber Waras Foundation will likely refuse to pay. On the other hand, Jakarta City Administration will likely have higher value if they decide to sell the property, thus causing other questions as to whether the price had been cheaper.
