TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Directorate General of Tax, in cooperation with the Finance Ministry and the National Police, has managed to arrest 25 taxpayers for not paying their taxes. The amount of the offenders' overdue taxes reaches up to Rp. 106 billion in total.
"For the Jakarta area, we arrested three taxpayers with a total amount of overdue tax that reaces Rp 4.6 billion" said Hestu Yoga Saksama, Director of Service and Public Relation of the Directorate General of Tax on Monday, June 20, 2016.
The Directorate General of Tax and the National Police held an event to disseminate information in relation to both institutions' cooperation, which has been established since 2012
"We really appreciate the support and cooperation provided by the National Police," Hestu said.
Sr. Comr. Heru Sulistiano, an official from the Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police stated that the police will continue to provide support in accordance with its authority. "The police is ready to help, including to provide security and law enforcement purposes," Heru said.
