TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Eight Indonesians have been deported from Istanbul, Turkey, Saturday, June 18, for alleged links with the Islamic States of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS).
Head of Police Headquarters Public Relations Brigadier General Boy Rafli Amar said that police picked them up at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday. “They were deported from Istanbul,” he said yesterday, June 19, 2016.
Boy said that all Indonesian were being deported using Turkies Airlines TK.56. They were Andi Nursamsi Bakhri from Makassar, 43-year old, Lailah Chalid (35) from Surabaya, Ramzy Ramadhan Mustaqim (5) from Sidoarjo, Raisyah Almira Amanda (4) from Sidoarjo, Mohammad Mustaqin (35) from Lamongan, Zay Rayhan Mustaqi (8) from Sidoarjo, Moh. Arief Rahman Susanto (24) and Abdul Latif Fitri Hariyadi (24) from Boyolali.
Police immediately took them to be questioned. However, the police failed to identify their links with ISIS. As a result, police have returned them to their respective families.
Boy presumed that the incident was prompted by Turkish concern about ISIS movement. “It’s their [Turkey] government, because many are coming to Turkey with no particular purpose,” he said.
