TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama has expressed his appreciation for the hard work done by his volunteer, Teman Ahok, in collecting one million identity cards as a requirement from Regional Election Commission (KPUD) to run for governor in 2017 Jakarta election.
He considered that it was not an easy task to collect one million identity cards.
“It’s an extraordinary effort. I have to say that it’s not easy for Teman Ahok to collect one million identity cards,” Ahok said at Graha Pejaten, Sunday, June 19, 2016.
Moreover, Ahok said he will continue to be loyal to his volunteers. He asserted that he would rather pass the opportunity to secure Jakarta gubernatorial post than to leave Teman Ahok. “Or if I have to leave Teman Ahok to become a governor, I’d rather not to become a governor,” he said.
