TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police's Special Counter-Terrorism Detachment 88 (Densus 88) arrested two suspected terrorists in a house in Surabaya on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Police also seized a number of evidences from the scene.
Mulyorejo police precinct chief Comr. Bagos Dwi R. said that one of the two terrorists was 31 years old, while the other has not been identified yet.
"I don't know where the two terrorists will be taken. Please ask Densus 88 about that," Bagos told journalists on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.
According to Bagos, the suspected terrorist was an ex-convict of a drugs case. In addition, he was sentenced 18 months in prison for being involved in a fraud case.
Reports said that the evidence were two long-barrel guns, a pistol and an disassembled bomb. Densus 88 has not released any statement in connection with the raid. Police personnel are still on guard to secure the scene.
