TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) has audited the Completion of Electricity Infrastructure Projects, which shows that 166 contracts in the first phase of the Fast Track Program had stopped. The Fast Track Program's first stage is a project worth 10,000 Megawatts.

BPK member Rizal Djalil said the 166 companies had problems in completing their project obligations. "We will reveal them tomorrow in a coordination meeting. We have the company names," he said in Jakarta Monday, May 30.

Based on the audit, Rizal said, the progress of the power project that began during Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's term only reached 79.19 percent, or only 7,919 Megawatts. Rizal said there are plenty of elements that need improving in the electricity program.

The BPK will hold a coordination meeting with several institutions tomorrow to follow up on the audit result. The BPK will invite Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Rizal Ramli, Energy Minister Sudirman Said, and PLN president director Sofyan Basir, among others.

From the meeting, Rizal expects to get recommendations from all parties involved in the 35,000-Megawatt project.

"By tomorrow, we will announce out findings," he said.

To date, the 35,000-MW super power project's construction progress had only 10 percent. In terms of power purchase agreement (PPA), the progress has reached 30 percent. The remaining agreements have reached the procurement preparation stage. President Joko Widodo had warned his ministers about how slow the project is progressing; slower than the initial target.

On April 12, PLN president director Sofyan Basir had said that in addition to Jokowi's 35,000-MW power project, the state power company also has to continue developing the remainder of the Fast Track Program I and II—a 10,000-MW project that was initiated during the Yudhoyono administration.
