TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Leaders of Fajar Nusantara Movement (Gafatar) have been arrested by the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit on Wednesday. They are Ahmad Mushaddeq, Mahful Muis Tumanurung and Andri Cahya.
Agus Andrianto, Director for General Criminal Conduct of the Investigation Unit, has confirmed the report. “Yes, it’s true, we made arrests last light,” Agus told Tempo yesterday.
Agus said the arrests were made based on public report on January 14, 2016, in blasphemy case. Ahmad Mushaddeq played the role as the successor of Prophet Mohammed in the group. In that regard, he is charged with violating Article 155a and Article 156b of the Criminal Code on blasphemy with a maximum sentance of 5 years in prison.
Whereas Andri Cahya and Mahful Muis Tumanurung are charged with violating Article 110 paragraph 1 in conjunction with 107 paragraph 1 and 2 of the Criminal Code.
