2 Mount Semeru Climbers Found Alive, Sent to Lumajang Hospital

TEMPO.CO, Lumajang - Two Semeru Mountain climbers from Cirebon who were found alive have been sent to dr Haryoto Hospital Lumajang. “Immediately sent to dr Haryanto Hospital. We have prepared rooms for them,” the secretary of Lumajang District SAR Finul told Tempo Tuesday in Pasrujambe Sub-district.
The two survivors, Supriadi, 26, a resident of Blok 4 Tegal Lempuyangan Lor, Tegal Gubug, Cirebon and Zirli Gita Ayu Savitri, 16, a student from Bojong Kulon Village, Susukan Sub-district, Cirebon District, were found at 4:05 p.m. on Boto Mountain.
When found, the two survivors were already weak. “Alhamdulillah (Praise to God), they are healthy despite feeling weak,” Finul said.
Earlier, SAR operation had been conducted since Saturday evening on May 21. The two climbers had been declared missing since May 20.
